A stroll today in my local Westfield in Belconnen, Canberra had me very impressed with the availability. Target, Toys R Us and KMart all stocked the full line up, with Target proving to be the cheapest, but either way all three stores had the Nitron for 79.95- cheaper than the RRP I've seen advertised elsewhere. Reports of them also appearing in Big W's and Toyworlds mean it's a clean sweep that we're not only getting the full line up, but we're getting them in bulk and getting them early! (Big W has the Nitron for 70 atm)
It's quite an amazing time for Nerf in Australia- Sure we missed out on Dart Tag blasters, but to get such a good haul so early in the piece- 9-10-11 or not, no doubt these Vortex blasters are going to be doing Nerf some serious $$$!
Entire range available at big-w in SYdney through up to Newcastle, no sign of refill packs of discs yet though

ReplyDeleteI live in the penrith area of sydney. My local bigw has just shipped in the vortex range and has them on shelves. They hav protons for 12 dollars, praxises for 30 dollars and nitrons for 58 dollars. They do not have vigilons shipped in yet. This is definately the best price of the vortex guns i have seen in australia. No refill packs or extra clips spotted though :)

ReplyDeleteI'm in western NY, I stopped into a couple of Targets to be delighted by the now available Vortex line. I picked up a praxis myself, but despite the availability of the guns ammo was no where to be seen.

ReplyDeleteOver the weekend I checked ToysRUs in Suntec Singapore. They had loads of white, gear up and the new dart tag stuff, but no Vortex.
Accuracy is awesome. I've managed to hit targets exactly where I want to hit them!

Sweet, they are finally in Utah! though I agree that the discs have very low accuracy past 30 feet if you are outside. I was seeing how far they went and aimed straight down my tape measure and got about 50-65 feet, but all of the shots were about 4 or 5 feet to either side of the tape measure and kinda travel slow the farther they go. if you are indoors they are great, but more than likely most people will not be doing nerf wars or anything that requires more than a few shots inside buildings. I should have some video reviews up on my blog next week.
