Nerf Nation: Hailfire official image

A better quality image of the upcoming Nerf N-Strike Elite Hailfire. Props to it being innovative and unlike anything we've seen before. It also looks like having more design cues from sci-fi video games than real world guns which I also like. What I don't like is it looks rather unwieldy to use- though I guess we got between now and September to work the forearms for dual wielding:P

No, I don't have one. Image comes from Nerf's official Facebook page:D

  1. Actually, because it has the little bandolier attachment points (which I assume are symmetrical) dual-wielding is highly plausible. still not as practical as a motor-modded Rayven with the 18 drum though, so I won't be getting any.

    1. And you could always tie part of the bandalier to the top handle. :)

  2. You know... Its strange, but this picture really makes the Hail-Fire look better and more practical to me.

Interestingly there appears to have been some alterations to the final product over what we've seen including the clear jam door and redesigned "vents" over the clip carousel.

Heck, maybe its those little subtle changes that make it look better.

  4. Guys look, there's a spring you can see through the jam door! In my knowledge flywheel guns don't have mainsprings...

    1. That's not a spring, that's some more vents on the jam door. Flywheels, yay... :(

    2. That's not a spring. It's the vents cut into the clear jam door. Good try tho ;-)

  6. well it has the under rail, making it good for a stationary using the stampede bipod

  7. Look at the area behind the front handle: there's no track for the handle to move. Perhaps my original theory was right; the "advance handle" is only called that because it is forward (advanced) of the other handle, and the "acceleration trigger" is really a trigger to advance the clip carousel. Maybe?

    1. Nah maybe it does it automatically like the vortex pyragon with its rotating clips.

  8. I using a very weak sense of optimism and knowledge of past n-strike designs do believe this might actually be a spring gun, my bases for this belief is that the clear "jam door" seems to have a spring visible, and jam doors on nerf guns are never clear, and the only other gun to have a clear section for the user to see the action working is the stampede ECS which itself was a spring gun, plus flywheels cannot get 75 ft without a technological miracle as t has been proven that the range is based in the blasters and not the dart design.

  9. Just for personal preference I will state previous n-strike guns I'd like to see "Upgraded" and what I'd name them
    Deploy CS-6 "Covert"
    Alpha-Trooper CS-18 "Fury"
    Stampede ECS "Avenger"
    Long-Shot CS-6 "Marksman"
    Long-Strike CS-6 "Bullseye"
    Vulcan EBF-25 "Defender"
    Rayven CS-18 "Frenzy"
    Spectre REV-5 "Phantom"
    Maverick REV-6 "Striker"

I'd also like to see the
Spartan NCS-12 from the video game (And actually have it 3 round burst)
    Redshift CS-12
    Semper-Fire RF-100
    Bull-Sharck GL-8

Let me know what you think

  10. Does anyone think that it is both a spring and flywheel?

You know what I think? I think you should stop playing too much video games and actually come out to the outside world for once.
