Rumours: Super Soaker X-Treme Hydro Pack

Our man Chenanio spotted some more intel on upcoming Super Soaker gear from Tao Bao; back in the day there were various backpack influenced water guns so it's great to see Hasbro bring back the Hydro pack.

As always, the product is often overshadowed by the back of the box.. check out some of the new kit!!

Aesthetically they are looking tough, but hard to see if other than the Thunderstorm if they have triggers or not...

  1. Looks like one of the new Super Soakers uses the banana clip... Should have been obvious!

  2. The blue are chill clips for ice water

  3. Unfortunately, I don't see any triggers on them; appears that everything but the Thunderstorm is going to need constant pumping.

  5. Here's something I posted on Nerf Wiki:

They are using X-TREME as part of the trademark for Super Soaker. If you look at the Super Soaker logo on the Arctic Shock and Switch Shot they are different to 'old' logo on the Thunderstorm and Shotwave also pictured there. The Hydro Pack seems to share this new logo as well. The clips are also blue rather than orange. Perhaps they are releasing a new sub-series in the Super Soaker line, "X-TREME". it just seems that these little colour and logo changes could be the start of a new series. If it isn't, why would they keep the normal Super Soaker logo and clip colour on the Shotwave? Just a theory anyway.

  6. At last, the water-clip system actually becomes USEFUL... But it also raises the dual-wielding issue. With two Thunderstorms... would packs in back AND front look too ridiculous? XD

  7. The Arctic Shock name is already taken it was made by Super Soaker in 2005 how is everyone else missing this?

    1. Same as how the Switch Shot is a previous N-Strike release. Nerf have done this a few time recently. Reusing previous names for completely different blasters.

    2. Because at least 75% of the people that buy Super Soakers are not Super Soaker uber geeks & don't remember the names of products from 7 years ago & probly about half wern't even born then. :)

  8. I find it funny and sad... the right word is probably pathetic... that the most hardcore looking Super Soakers ever are probably the ones that would suck most in an actual watergun fight.

  9. Unfortunately none have triggers but the crappy Thunderstorm. The Switch Shot looks like they were trying too hard to make a kiddie AK-74. Just my two cents.
