Nerf Nation: official release of N-Strike Elite Rayven + Stryfe

Nerf have put up an official release regarding the upcoming N-Strike Elite Stryfe, and the updated Rayven CS-18 on their Nerf Nation Facebook page. We are noticing the time between when we start reporting on new blasters and the official release info is becoming shorter these days:)

From the Facebook page:

"It may be about a month away, but around here the countdown to 2013 has begun. Hitting shelves around the world in 2013, the brand new N-Strike Elite Stryfe blaster and newly updated N-Strike Elite Rayven blaster will add serious power to your collection in the new year.

The N-Strike Elite Stryfe blasters’s semi-automatic firing action makes one-handed blasting easy while being able to unload up to 6 darts in just 3 seconds!

The N-Strike Elite Rayven blaster has been newly updated to feature Elite styling and long-distance performance. Like this post if you plan on adding one of these blasters to your Nerf collection next year. (Please note: availability and timing will vary by country/state/city)"

  1. I will definitely get one of each and maybe two Stryfes.

  2. I already got the Stryfe at my local Toys R Us, and it's also on Amazon apparently...

  3. Great Update! However I find wierd that the Elite Rayven says Rayven CS-18, while the N-Strike Rayven just says "Rayven". Doesn't it seem the wrong way round as elite is dropping the number scheme?

  4. Anyone else noticed that the Stryfe has a grey trigger while the Elite Rayven has an orange one?

    1. The reason the trigger on the Stryfe is gray is because, like all Elite blasters, the pictured blaster has been downtuned for countries with strict safety regulations. Elites with orange triggers are full power, while gray triggers have less power.

    1. flywheels are only bad if you don't know how to play with them

    2. They are ok I guess, they just don't serve my style of use well. Hard to get the drop on some one when they have already dived for cover by the time the flywheel has warmed up.

  9. Hey Pocket do you have any idea when the new Elite guns might arrive in Australia? Or more specific the ACT? I've been waiting extremely patiently for guns like the Hailfire and others to come to stores and it took a while. Do you think it'll be as long for the new Elite guns?

    1. Hailfire's are already available- I've seen them in Big W's both Woden and Civic. I think Toyworld in Fyshwick is also carrying Some Elite gear too if the rumours are correct. Lemme know how you go!

    2. Hey Pocket! I was aware of the Hailfire at Civic but my Birthday was so close to the day I found it and so I was worried to get it and find out that one of my family members might have already gotten it as a present! :P Unfortunately they didn't but I got a Unity Power Set! I guess that's pretty cool! I managed to pick up a Stockade and a Hailfire at the Toys R Us at Majura Place. I have to wait till Christmas for the Stockade though. They were also carrying a Rampage but they only had one left! Do you know when guns such as the Stryfe, Rough Cut and others might show up nearby?

  10. I wonder if it is possible to modify the Stryfe to be automatic. I think all there really needs to be is another motor with a half-gear, and a toothed dart pusher. It would be great to have an automatic pistol!

  11. Target have had the Hailfire for a few months now. They get a few in and then they seem to sell fast.

    1. I couldn't agree more! I had no idea that they were available on Amazon and could actually post to Australia! Thought that it was just America and other neighboring countries for now. But obviously not! I might take my chances and wait a little to see if the stores nearby start stocking them but if they don't turn up soon... Amazon is where I'm going. Thanks for the help!

  15. It isnt purple, its blue. The pic only makes it look that way. Like NERF would make a purple gun.really?
