Rumours: Nerf N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike CS-18 detailed pics: I'll take several thanks.

Ok, in a pic spam that's after my own heart (and style!), courtesy of a Baidu member named 'Captain' here is a pretty comprehensive look at the upcoming new Rapidstrike CS-18. It's a tad smaller than I was expecting, but it looks pretty awesome and has me pretty keen to get a few when they're released. I'm loving it's styling; Nerf have done a fantastic job from what I can see, although I really need to have one in my hands to really say if it's really da business or not:)

Again, I have to say this- these pics are NOT mine, I found them on the internet on Baidu. I have no affiliation with Baidu OR 'Captain', I don't own this blaster, I haven't asked anyone to do this for me, but I think this is going to go to great lengths in generating buzz for the Rapidstrike and now you're all gonna go out and buy HEAPS because you're amped too.

Right? right on, on to the pics! :D

UPDATE 21-4-13 : And a few more random pics of the Rapidstrike I found with various attachments:)

  1. I'd love to see it with a 6-mag, but by golly that thing is beautiful... :-D

    1. You would be out of ammo in literally two seconds with a 6-mag though.

    2. It looks like some kind of weird bolt-action gun with the Retaliator grip on the side.

    3. i would put a 35 dart drum with a longstrike barrel and a centurion bi-pod: LMG

    4. teh Rampage drum is prettier, and still holds 25 darts

  2. I am in love, also nice picture showing the sights

  3. i was hoping it would have multiple firing modes..... but now it doesnt have any other mode other than full auto. i might just stay with a rayven for ease of ROF but still, it looks badass :)

    1. Chances are you'll be able to mod different fire modes into it. My guess is that the dart pusher has an integrated rack gear, driven by a half-tooth sector gear, so that it moves forward, then skips back via spring once the sector gear rotates enough to release from the rack gear.

If that's the case, a MOSFET chip, timed and tuned to the number of sector gear revolutions, would be enough to get single, 3-burst and full auto modes. Similar to an Airsoft setup.

If you did an all-round motor replacement, you'd probably be able to get even higher rates of fire. More torque and less spin-up time on the front motors, the same for the firing mech, so that the flywheels don't get bogged down with the frequency of darts.

In an unrelated note, I'm looking forward to seeing how well this minimizes - cut just in front of the magwell grip and BOOM! You've got one very ergonomic, close-mid range blaster!

The stock is by far the prettiest I've seen, too.

    2. But do you think the MOSFET would be able to work using the limited voltage of the Rapidstrike, particularly with the drop from what should be a fairly heavy load from those flywheels?

      Delete
    3. @Anonymous, the problem with cutting in front of the magwell grip, is that that big bulky bit in front of the magwell grip is actually the battery tray, so cutting that off would kill the blaster. I'm actually not sure that there's a good way to trim this guy down.

    4. or you could get a stryfe...

    5. @ 2nd Anonymous, LOL you use the battery compartment. Trustfires are not the only way to mod a blaster. If they realy have thier heart set on minimizing this blaster they could get a RC battery & harness, wire them in & go that route.

  4. Great pics, it looks incredible! Cannot wait to own this, I'll be buying it first day of release! My only gripe is the clear magazine, I still don't like my foes knowing how many rounds are left in my mag. But I'll just throw in one of my old 18 round mags and problem solved.

    1. It is kinda scary cuz the baddies see ur outta ammo and can getcha

    2. You just have to use a different clip.

  5. And the pics keep pouring in. These are some impressive shots, especially the comparison picture between the Rapidstrike and the Stampede. This new blaster looks to be another great addition to someone's collection. Still rather iffy on the orange stripe on the side. Hoping that Nerf will fix that before the Rapidstrike is released in the U.S.

  6. I saw "Acceleration Trigger" and nearly punched my computer.
I hate flywheels... Way too overused and not at all accurate.
Nerf really is spending more time on looks now than on the firing mechanisms... :(

    1. I <3 flywheels. my sonic barricade gets lil tiny groups that would neearly make you punch yourself

    2. I thought the Elite Stampede would be a motorized-plunger blaster.
      I am disappoint...

  7. Hmmm... Smiling again on the box.

  8. It looks good sure but what makes it special?

Seems like a flywheel blaster again...

  9. Sadly there are no picture of the back side of the iron sights.

  10. Lol you realize that there is a picture of the NSE Rayven's jam door in the pictures?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think thats going to come out when nerf bring their new guns out

    ReplyDelete
  12. They should have made it beltfed, flywheels don't need air restrictors, so it could have had a 50 dart belt in a pouch. Just got the stryfe so probably not going to get.

    ReplyDelete
  13. :-( by the looks of these pictures Stampede internals are not going to fit in this shell!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This was figured out months ago, also it has been confirm several days ago that it does use flywheels.

      Delete
  14. How do you open the jam door? It's under the handle so it looks like it would be difficult to clear one... Also, if it is full auto, why does it have an acceleration trigger?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The acceleration trigger powers up the flywheels, but the trigger pull triggers a electronic pusher.

It uses 4 C batteries, so the chances are the flywheels are extremely powerful and rev up fast enough to allow 75 feet in rapid fire.

      Delete
    2. The jam door is like that on the Stampede. Awkward, but not likely to be needed much. The secondary trigger operates the flywheels, while the primary trigger operates the pusher.
      It is legit!

    3. It's a full auto fly wheel blaster. There is a video of it being fired that was posted earlier.

      Delete
    4. i would assume so that there isn't a issue when firing to blaster which leaving it up to one trigger could do, also this probably makes it easier to mod.

    5. Hw many magazines do come with it??
      I hope 3

  15. I can't believe it's another God damn flywheel blaster.... I am not buying this... and I was really excited about this too... until I heard those damn motors in the video...

    1. Cool, that meens one less person to have to contend with when I go get mine to mod up :P

      Delete
    2. Uh...........Another guy who thinks it's semi auto flywheel...... I pitty you. It is full auto you just have to hold down both triggers, NO SPAMMING!!!! The flywheel are only there to get the darts out fast smothered no cluster of like 7 darts jammed in that thing!

  16. How many magazines come with it?

    1. that is $200.00 American dollars

  18. i know this is off topic but (yes i have read you FAQ and im not wanting to buy) you should do monthly giveaways. That would be awesome.

  19. it is full auto look at the firing instructions!!!

  20. Hey the above comment was from me Silverso i accidentally used my brothers name

    ReplyDelete
  21. things i noticed about this gun
1)like the rayvens, it has a special place where a clip can be inserted (this blocks usage of the iron sights but a scope or sight is a quick fix)
2)this confirms the existence of the clear elite 18 dart clip mentioned a few months ago
3)it can take barrels now, a feature the Stampede SHOULD have had, as it was notorious for it's terrible accuracy. The Rapidstrike should be more accurate but its still nice to have the option.
4)the 50 dart drum doesn't, and probably never will, exist
5)it looks more kid friendly and... lighter, i guess.
6)it appears to be one tactical rail short of a full fledged stampede

    Comments?

    1. What!? The Stampede and the Rapid strike have 5 tac. rails!

    2. Both the stampede and the rapidstrike have 5 tactical rails

    3. stampede has 6 tac-rails

  22. Am I the only one who has the impression that the ROF is just slightly better than a skilled shooter with a Stryfe/Hailfire ?
Has this gun a better range ?
I wonder if the loading bar has mechanical limitations that make ROF mods impossible.

I doubt the mechanical pusher mechanism would be any more limited than this.

  23. Anyone else notice that the instructions point to the underside tac-rail? Can anyone read what it says?

    1. jam clearing door? is that what you are asking about?

    2. That's the battery compartment that the instructions point to, I saw a vid on youtube about it.

  24. It is sad that this is a piece of crap flywheel gun.... I guess I will not be upgrading my Stampede after all...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. This gun is better than the Stampede in every way. Honestly, in my opinion, the Stampede was a piece of crap. The stampede is too heavy, the bipod is useless, the capacity is poor, its accuracy is abysmal, and it's rate of fire is cheap compared to the Rapidstrike (see the vid on the previous post if you don't believe me).

      Delete
    2. If you think the stampede is heavy then you have very weak arms, It has the same original capacity as the rapidstrike but it comes with three of those, you can just add more voltage and it will be able to fire FASTER than this

      Delete
  25. I'd love to see it with a longstrike barrel

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes! longstrike barrel, 25 round rampage drum, pinpoint sight on top of the carry handle, foregrip on the bottom rail, (eventually a centurion bipod on the end rail) and most importantly; Energizer ultimate lithium batteries.

  26. Wow, looks quite small for a full-auto gun. Based on that, my guess as to the price would be $25-$35.

  27. your wrong in American dollars it $40.00
