Nerf Zombie Strike Sledgefire : Target (US)

Also found on the US Target website is the Nerf Zombie Strike Sledgefire. We've not known a whole lot about this blaster other than what we got officially from Hasbro, but it seems to be as predicted a "shotgun-esque" blaster that fires 3 rounds at once with an ammo holder built into the stock. Comes with the yellow darts as we saw with the Hammershot. I'm not a fan of the colour scheme but I do like the original styling- looks like it's got a tactical rail and uses a "break" system to load the dart ammo cartridges. As with all shotgun style blasters, I'm not sure how practical they are for actual gameplay, but as far as roleplay and just for kicks, I think this one's a winner:)

  1. Looks good for LOLs and single rushes, maybe minimised as a triad alternative? Not sure about the blue, much prefer the colours of the Hammershot myself. Agreed on practicality, might be fun in indoor games though.

  3. they better sell those cartridges by them selves, like extra darts & discs

    1. They will, way too late as always though.

  4. Just my opinion but wouldn't some one using just Zombiestrike blasters last like 6 seconds in a HVZ game? I meen they have no real ammo capacity & either a slow or gimmicky reload. As Pocket said cool styling & look like they'll be fun to play with, just when the zombie apocalypse rolls around I'd like to have something with more than 1 or 5 shots before reload.

    1. depends on the hvz game, the ones i usually play start with a low zombie count so hammershots would make the perfect choice for duel wielding pistols (fast, 10 shots, small). then I fallow up with a primary that holds a good amount of ammo and fast reload with fast rate of fire. the sledge fire is gimmicky for HVZ but the hammershot is probably the best pistol nerf has put out so far. if you duel wield stryfes with 35 round drums, those don't count as secondaries.

    2. the barrel break attachment would be good on this blaster, fire a shot, put the shell in the ammp carrier and reload it later.

    3. Well, the revolver you can pretty easily have a couple of on hand, and due to the way it primes you can reload one while firing the other.

    4. To Harpuia, LOL, duel wielding 2 stryfes with 35 round drums you'd have to have wrists of steel as well if going no stock:) Was saying on the my 1st post if for some reason you decided to take only Zombiestrike gear you'd only last about 5 seconds. AKA basicly they could use a primary worthy entry in the Zombiestrike line.

    5. Yeah, doesn't it suck when war games resemble actual combat too much and lack the "Infinite Ammo" option from FPS's like Goldeneye? /sarcasm. Seriously, shut up, quit whining, and just learn to reload faster. The blasters are quirky and cool. Either buy them or don't.

  5. This is so hype! It reminds me of something that would be in borderlands.

  6. Who needs shells when you can just jam some 16mm Conduit down the barrel and just load single darts?

  7. so is this with the thumb priming system? and just break to reload? cuz if so dual wield would be a pretty lethal indoor close range weapon

    1. pretty sure it primes on the break mech like the barrel break, i think the hammer piece is to release the barrel.

  8. Don't like that blue (the hammershot is colored better). But, I do like the style. Hope they sell those cartridges separate or I'll be buying a few of these. :(

  9. It definitely looks cool with ergonomics/styling. Really digging the "broomhandle" stock. Though I have to agree with the colors. I'm a big fan of blue, but the light blue just looks a bit too flashy for my tastes (perhaps just the picture, might be different in person). Personally, I would prefer the Zombiestrike line to be more wood/gunmetal-colored. Such as all the homebrew paintjobs of Rapid Fire Rifles (the Winchester-style Buzz Bee rifle) or Double Shots. Of course, this would probably be too far and look like a real weapon.

Also, though I'm a big fan of cool features, the shotgun shells are a real pain. Especially if you have a hardwood floor, every single shot results in a chunk of plastic bouncing around the floor.

Well in most Zombie scenarios, Zombies dont run or only few of them. When Iam looking at HVZ it reminds me more of playing tag with Nerf blasters, then a zombie secenario.
    Just my 5 cent.

  12. I feel like they should have made this a double barrel break action shotgun, who uses a single barrel break action shotgun, lol. still it is pretty cool.

  14. Now mechanically fasten two of these together (or 4!) and you'll have a real NERF shotgun...

  15. Add longshot scope for Boba Fett's main weapon.

  16. Almost got one of these the other day, I bought two Hammershots instead. Are there any reviews of this shooting?
