Amazon UK: Upcoming N-Strike Elite AND Vortex for preorder

Amazon UK just put the Nerf world into a tailspin this morning by listing most of the upcoming N-Strike Elite blasters on their site, complete with glorious images; we're loving the fact the new round of N-Strike Elite blasters are all totally new designs and all VERY cool indeed.

On top of this, a first look at the much speculated Vortex Diatron, sporting the same colour schemes as the Pyragon. Also shows this new "Multishot MADNESS" feature logo on the packaging that's also featured on the Rough Cut.

So now the question remains: Which one(s) are on your hot list for the new year and why? More images of the N-Strike Elite gear and official blurb after the jump.

Thanks to all the emails we got on this, we'll give it to L Corijns for being the first:)

Nerf Vortex Diatron
Product Description
Are you ready to bring some multishot madness to your next mission? The Diatron blaster lets you send 2 discs hurtling toward your target at the same time with every shot. Firing this fast is no problem, because the blaster’s built-in drop-down magazine snaps open for fast, easy reloading. The blaster’s Tactical Rail is compatible with any Tactical Rail accessory (sold separately) so you can upgrade at will for even more strategic advantage. The blaster’s revolutionary XLR Disc Tech hurls the bright orange Vortex discs an ultra-long distance. Blast your target with double firepower to outfire your opponent. Diatron blaster fires 2 discs at once. Load your blaster with the 8 included discs. Snap open the drop-down magazine for quick reload. Magazine holds 10 discs. Blaster’s revolutionary XLR Disc Tech hurls the bright orange Vortex discs an ultra-long distance. Pull the priming lever and then push it in to load 2 discs. Upgrade with any Tactical Rail accessory (sold separately).

Box Contains 1 x Blaster comes 8 x discs instructions

Our thoughts
We're liking the fact it also has the tactical rails and an ability to attach a stock, which will definitely add a 'tacticool' element to it. Also glad it's sporting the same colour scheme as the Pyragon and comes with the Red XLR discs. A very futuristic looking blaster. We're keen.

Nerf N-Strike Elite Stryfe

Product Description
Empty your clip at your target with the motorized semi-auto blasting of the Stryfe blaster. This 6-dart dynamo lets you launch Elite Darts up to 75 feet one-handed. The blaster’s Acceleration Trigger powers up the motor for semi-auto action and the Quick Reload clip lets you reload fast. As with most N-Strike blasters, the Tactical Rail lets you add most N-Strike Tactical Rail accessories (sold separately) for more battle capability. Power up your compact Stryfe blaster and get ready to take out your targets with one-handed, semi-auto firing.

Box Contains 1 x Blaster 1 x Quick Reload Clip 6 x Elite Darts 1 x instructions

Our thoughts
I'm a real fan of the secondary tactical rail under the muzzle, allowing for a tactical light or bipod. Also allows for a stock attachment. Looks like it also allows for a barrel attachment. Could look very SMG looking. Looks like they've taken on board design cues from those who modded their Barricades to support clips.

Nerf N-Strike Elite Rough Cut 2x4

Product Description
Slam into battle with the double-barreled domination of the Rough Cut 2X4 blaster. This sleek blaster lets you launch 2 Elite Darts at once at targets up to 75 feet away, and the pump-action design lets you pump repeatedly to unleash a steady double stream of darts. Launch up to 8 Elite Darts without reloading. As with most N-Strike blasters, the Tactical Rail lets you add most N-Strike Tactical Rail accessories (sold separately) for more battle capability. Power up the multishot madness of the Rough Cut 2X4 blaster and get ready to dominate with both barrels

 Box Contains 1 x Blaster comes 8 x Elite Darts 1 x instructions

Our thoughts
We love pump action cocking mechanisms and we've always been a fan of the N-Strike Barrel Break IX-2, so we're really happy this one's coming out. Two at a time darts consecutively with each priming makes it finally BE that much desirable shot gun. Looks tough too. Note this box art features the "75ft" distances vs the "20m" UK metric system label.

Nerf N-Strike Elite Strong Arm
Product Description
Speed and mobility are yours with the quick draws and fast firing of the Strongarm blaster. It has the same long-range power as other N-Strike Elite blasters (sold separately), and it rapid-fires 6 darts when you pump the Slam Fire slide repeatedly while holding the trigger. Loading is easy and quick with the flip-open rotating barrel, and its Tactical Rail is compatible with most N-Strike accessories (sold separately). Add the Strongarm blaster to your arsenal and unleash a storm of darts at your target.

Box Contains 1 x blaster 6 x Elite darts 1 x instructions

Our thoughts
Definitely the successor to the Maverick, and Slam Fire to boot, though for a six round blaster it'll go pretty quickly. Looks sleeker than the Mav.

Product Description
Complete your mission even in the shadows with the Firestrike blaster. This compact blaster’s precision light beam targeting gives you laser-like focus even in low-light conditions. Activate the Light Beam Trigger to zero in on targets up to 15 feet away. The Firestrike blaster launches Elite Darts up to 75 feet. As with most N-Strike blasters, the Tactical Rail lets you add most N-Strike Tactical Rail accessories (sold separately) for more battle capability. Power up the Light Beam on your Firestrike blaster and get ready to take out your target with one shot.

Box Contains 1 x Blaster 3 x Elite Darts instructions

Our thoughts
Great looking Nitefinder successor; we're a real fan of the design of this one. Nice and compact, I'm guessing it's going to be pretty popular with aesthetic modders. Note this box art features the "75ft" distances vs the "20m" UK metric system label.

  1. the ruff cut works how I thought it would meaning no air system just plungers and it probably cycles the same way the triad does. The Diatron looks to have a mag like the vigilon but I don't have a single clue of how it functions. I always have guessed correctly when it comes to dart blasters in terms of how the work but I seem to have trouble understanding the vortex blasters.

    1. Lever on the bottom. Gap at the front on the bottom is most likely to hook your fingers in.

    2. I feel as if the Diatron simply uses two torsion springs. The 2 springs and arms would be parallel to one another. The arm on the right of the blaster would be longer than the other arm and it would fire the top disc. The arm on the left would fire the bottom disc. A groove would be cut in the middle of the bottom barrel to allow the arm to reach the second barrel.

  2. My question is how will the Diatron be primed? There is no bar on the back and nothing on the top. Speculation.

    1. i didn't realize that. I have no idea.

    2. Notice the jam-door-ish thing under the tac rail... One sided bolt maybe? Or maybe the orange top piece breaks open?

      Delete
    3. Isn't that likely the jam release mechanism, similar to the Vigilon?

    4. Yes, but that will not prime the blaster.

    5. Theres a lever on the other side

  3. I think the second "wave" of elite blasters is much more exciting that the first, as they are all redesigned, as opposed to just the same shell with better performance. (Obviously excluding the Hail-Fire)

  4. Damn. I'm definitely gonna do a pre-order on Amazon, for at least the Stryfe and Rough Cut 2x4.

  5. Also, I love the way the guy on the Rough Cut box looks. He's just like "holy shit, it fires TWO!"

  6. Holy. Info.

I really want that Rough Cut, I've been wanting a Nerf pump-action multi-shot for a long time now. I think "2 x 4" in the name hints at the possibility of Rough Cuts with bigger capacity, and therefore more darts per shot. :D

    1. Or some really awesome mods.
      Ruff Cut 4x4 anyone?

  7. Above the trigger is a little orange bar. Think that could have something to do with it, or does that look unrelated to priming it?
Also, right beneath the tac rail, there's a ...thingy.

    1. Think that bar is just the unjamer(sory don't know the technical term). One it looks to be to high up on the gun & two it would be a pain priming the blaster with such a small bit to use. Thinking maybe they have a charging handle on the other side? Just a guess.

    2. The orange bar is the clip release on the vortex line of blasters. The release underneath the tac rail ejects the disc without firing the blaster.

      Delete
    3. That bar is for the magazine release/door release, just like the Vigilon. On a side note, I think the Diatron looks like the Bolt shot from Halo 4

      Delete
    4. Above the trigger is the clip release, its the same on the Pyragon/Praxis/Lumitron.
The other "thingy" is the disc release for clearing jams.
The white part on the very bottom is most likely the priming lever.

  8. I cannot wait for these to come out! The rough cut looks awesome and so does the diatron. i'm getting both when they're released. Maybe the stryfe too.

  9. "Rough Cut 2x4". Doing some carpentry, eh Hasbro?

  10. Is the Stryfe basically the Rayven just not bullpup?

    1. I say more like a clip barricade.

  11. I'm probably just wierd, but I despise the design of the Rough Cut. Honestly I'm excited only for the Stryfe, though I'll probably pick up a Firestrike or two.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I'm a bit confused by why there are so many variants of the barricade now, the stockade is an elite barricade, the stryfe is a clip fed version of the stockade that also takes a barrel, and really the rayven is the bullpup version of that. So there's 4 blasters filling the same role.

I agree the rough cut looks stupid though. Another hailfire design disaster. Firestrike looks to be my pick, maybe the diatron if it looks good with a stock. Which brings me my rant on stocks. There's been like 10 new blasters released and only 2 stocks, and one top rail attatchment that'll only be available through promotions. What the hell?! /rant over

      Delete
    2. I kind of want the Stryfe only for tacticool (which it wins at) and looks (which it is great at).
I agree with the note about the stocks though. There's only one official Vortex stock, and so far only two Elite stocks, and there's at least 4 Vortex blasters and 4 Elite blasters that accept stocks.

Some random notes, the Diatron box makes it look pretty cool, and I prefer the look of the Firestrike in box than out. Now I know I'm realy weird.

  12. really hasbro? more flywheel blasters? unless an elite stampede comes out next year, i think i might go back to buzzbee.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ooooh, That Diatron looks mighty fine. I'll have to get one to use as a secondary to my pyragon. I was gonna get a Vigilon, but this one looks some much more awesome. I'll probably get a Strongarm while I'm at it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Also, I love the way the clip release for the Stryfe is under the trigger, just the same as when modders integrate a Raider clipwell into the Barricade.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I just noticed that a barrel can be attached onto the stryfe :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Only downside is that the Stryfe will only have a 6 Dart Clip included. I am excited about the Stryfe as well as the Rough Cut which will make a great base for a Cyberpunk/Dark Future-themed gun.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Am I the only one that noticed that the dart holder from the Barrel-Break holds the exact number of darts for a full reload of the Rough Cut 2x4?

Also, Gonna have to get two Rough Cut 2x4s... One to play with, and one to paint up like some sort of steam punk multi-barreled musket. X3

    ReplyDelete
  18. Um, Im thinking that the Diatron is a lever action Vortex blaster, the "second" barrel is obviously not a barrel, Its the Lever action handle in its housing, I have no clue why Hasbro chose this as their design, I can see fingers being pinched left and right. I'd collect a couple of these just because if that is how its designed it will be recalled, so in speculation It could become very rare.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lever? That's where the batteries go.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hm... Is it just me, or does it kind of look like that bottom piece on the Diatron could be the magazine... The back 3/4th of the bottom piece is part of the shell. But that front 1/4th is a seperate piece of plastic. It could slide forward and then you could drop the discs into it...
Just rendom speculation. Still no clue how you prime the thing...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I am starting to think that the Diatron is primed after the magazine on the bottom is filled and closed. So you'd only have to fill it up and can fire 2x4 consecutive shots one after the other before you reload.

I want it to be spring powered badly too you guys, but let's face it, it probably is just another flywheel blaster in a pretty shell... T_T
