I admit, I have NO idea what this guy's on about in his blog, but for the more technically minded (hehe) this gentleman has worked out a way to fire off a Stampede ECS with the sheer power of his mind..

The mystery white Maverick REV-6: A photo essay:)

  

Several months ago, we received a mysterious Nerf Maverick REV-6 in an all new white + grey colour scheme. At the time, we had no intel on it, and we were hoping we'd eventually learn more.. but nope.. nada.  We loved it because it was pretty much our signature colours and drooled at the possibility of other blaster variants in the same white and grey finish. There was speculation that MAYBE this was the new 'gear-up' line, but images of the orange and black striped blasters smashed that theory.

Flash forward a few months and still we're just as in the dark as we were when we got it. What it is/was for, I do not know. I can confirm this ISN'T just a custom paint job- the plastic is actually white and it looks very much factory painted rather than after market enamels.

In any case, it's a good looking design, and just for funsies, I decided to get all arty with my new camera on it. More weird angles after the jump:)

The awkward moment when Time to Play showcases the Quick 16..

Time To Play is a website/blog that reviews toys. And while I'm sure they mean well.. I just find their vids cringe worthy. This vid details the Quick 16 as all "man powered".. the best part is when he starts firing.. Fire.. fire..

Nerf Dart Tag 2011: How to play vid

Oh dem pretty boys from Nerf's Team Blue give you the heads up on how to play Dart Tag. Essentially it's capture the flag.. but with the new Dart Tag gear. Given this stuff isn't officially available in Australia, we'll have to stick with the traditional playground rules of capture the flag- ie smash anyone in your way, with the game stopping when the fat kid cries blood nose. :P

Lanard Scatterblast: GRENADE!!! Well.. sort of.

The Lanard Scatterblast has a small cult following, although my personal experiences are that it's rubbish. I bought one of these a few years ago when I first got into office Nerf wars. 

One of our managers made an "anonymous" complaint that it was unprofessional conduct, so rather than back down, we did a "drive by", I sat on a swivel chair as a mate pushed me along past the manager's office and we hurled one of these puppies at his desk. Alas.. rather than the desired effect of them hitting the desk and launching a barrage of darts at him, instead the Scatterblast itself just smacked him in the face, knocking off his glasses and landed on the filing cabinet next to him, undetonated. 

I ended up throwing it out when I finally left the job, but since then many people have been looking for these (with the assumption that they were discontinued) and they seem to have emerged again on shelves- in this instance at my local Target. $15 bucks.. guess it's worth picking one up to try again... :)

Thor Hammer: It's like N-Force.. but not.

Things have been pretty slow as far as anything new to pick up in the stores around town, so we just decided to impulse buy a Thor hammer because it was.. sorta Nerf. ish. :) Now, to be honest, there's not a WHOLE lot one can really do with this.. it's short and stumpy and not exactly the most effective melee weapon.. but it was only 15 bucks at Target soo..what the hell:) More pics after the jump.

Nerf's latest Dart Tag commercial.. they really do like their Blue team:) Love how the Sharpshot dude holds the blaster sideways, 'gangsta' style. :P

And...probably the first time I've ever heard ANYONE post 1995  and who wasn't an Ninja Turtle refer to anything as 'Gnarly'..
