Super Soaker Hydro Cannon Commercial.

As spotted on Basic Nerf, the commercial for the new Super Soaker Hydro Cannon. It's a cool ad and I love this blaster, but I personally find it a tad deceptive; the vid is filmed it in such a way that it looks like the Hydro Cannon shoots a steady stream.. which it doesn't. It's a big burst of water that goes kapow:)

Hydro Cannon vs CPS 2700.. youth vs experience

It's proven the new 2011 Super Soaker Hydro Cannon DOES feature CPS tech, but is it as good as OTHER older CPS water cannons like the 2000 model CPS 2700?

SO here's a video.. one thing for sure..they definitely perform differently.. I guess you'll just have to decide which one you think is better for you (that and the CPS 2700 is discontinued!).

Aesthetics also MAY play a part... :P

Super Soaker Hydro Cannon test videos

Some quick vids on the new Super Soaker Hydro Cannon. Admittedly, not the best vids, but the neighbours downstairs were having a dinner party so I couldn't do the normal "shoot off the balcony" thing I normally do:) Gives you an idea anyway:)

Review: Super Soaker Hydro Cannon

The much anticipated Hydro Cannon is the largest water blaster in the new 2011 (Nerf) Super Soaker line. It's big, it's tough and the most exciting part about this blaster is it does incorporate the awesome Constant Pressure System (CPS) tech found in the glory day blasters of the 90's.

Amazon.com finally came good and lo and behold, my Super Soaker Hydro Cannon arrived today. After doing my little victory dance, I cracked it open and can safely say.. its pretty damn cool...

Hydro Cannon Modded to shoot darts

The Super Soaker Hydro Cannon is getting pretty good reviews around the blogs; it's confirmed it DOES utilise CPS tech but rather than a steady stream, the Hydro Cannon is basically like the Flashflood set to "Flood" mode constantly (and basically 'dumps' the water on your opponent!).

The buzz on what you can do with it mod wise is also pretty high, but Jerm from Nerf Mods + Reviews gets to it first and does what he does best.. makes it shoot foam darts. Really far:)

Super Soaker Hydro Cannon: iSoaker.com gets it!

Dem good peeps at iSoaker.com have gotten their hands on the much anticipated Super Soaker Hydro Cannon. Reviews thus far sound pretty decent; they've reported that it's like a Super Soaker Flash Flood permanently on the Flash Flood mode (hence the recoil). Trigger is reportedly very large and smooth and they're already talking about what they can do to it to turn it into a beast:)

For Nerf fans, the goods and the bads is the shield attachment DOES reportedly attach to the side via compatible tactical rails, however it mounts to the side:

Anyway, you can read more on the the iSoaker forums or have a look at more detailed photos of the Hydron Cannon. We at UT are hoping to get ours real soon.. but we're at the mercy of our suppliers!

Super Soaker Hydro Cannon 'Officially' Announced..

Super Soaker Hydro Cannon. Yup. It's "official" if it's on Facebook:)
Hasbro officially announced their Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon on Facebook today. If you haven't been keeping up to date (we've mentioned it previously) it's a air pressure water blaster that boasts up to 35feet (around 10 metres). We're all hoping it'll be similar to the big bad Super Soaker CPS2000 of the late 90's which was so powerful it shot a pint of water per second and had a kick/recoil to it.

Most e-tailers in the US have them for around 26-28 bucks so hopefully it'll be a similar price here. It's also Summer here atm, so here's hoping the pop up REAL soon:)

If you're not into water blasters.. I'm sure you've disregarded this post already:)

Rumours: Super Soaker Hydro Cannon

OMG. I want.
Check this out; it looks like there's been some serious R+D on Super Soakers this season; this one looks AWESOME.  It's the Super Soaker Hydro Cannon: from what we know, It will be similar to the Super Soaker glory days with a pump/pressurised water mechanism- pull the trigger to shoot what hopefully looks like a high powered water stream. Super Soakers for the new season look to all be sporting the white/blue/orange colour schemes which I quite like.

It looks like it'll use the N-Strike compatible tactical rail accessories and seems to come with a detachable shield / sight accessory. Apparently it will also boast recoil action (maybe like the awesome CPS 2000) and should fire up to 35 feet! It's scheduled for a January 2011 release (US I assume) and will be around $26.95 US. Can't wait:)
