Sent to us today, another look at the proposed Nerf N-Strike Elite Hailfire. Rather epic looking, eh! Thanks Jon for the link.

  1. Is that a button I spy above the trigger?

  2. That thing on the top of the handle may be the button to switch clips. Or is it a power switch like on the original vulcan? It could very well not be a flywheel, since that would take a /ton/ of voltage to power it to 75 feet.

    1. Not necessarily. They could just be using motors with a higher KV.

  3. I really like Neo Creations' version better. Nerf! Just show us the real thing already!

  5. Looks epically bad. Not only heavy but cumbersome.

  8. is it just me or does it have only three clips? The clips are strangely rotated on this picture.

  9. From this piture it looks like a Flywheel vulcan that takes clips, there's a jam clearing door and acceleration trigger. The extra clip slots seem very cool, but if it's flywheel, i'm not that keen.

    1. It would need a ton of power to be flywheel

    1. Three clips... or five in a star formation? the side view from the video (the only rock-solid confirmation of it's design) does seem to show that the frontmost clip and the rearmost clip seem to to be slightly offset to each other, suggesting the layout may not be four clips in a cross formation.

  11. so is this the actual gun or another artists rendition?

  12. That's either REALLY well drawn, or the concept art for the real thing.

But yeah, if that's how it looks, I just may get it.

  13. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but what is supposed to go in the larger clip?

  14. What's the orange switch on the top?

  15. That's a beast. I gotta get me one o' those.....

  16. All I have too say is that Neo Creations did a nice job sketching it.

  17. looks cool, only downers are the front handle and the lack of stock or hardpoint for mounting a stock

  18. Its called the "hail fire" and has a place for three clips. I'd bet you anything its a flywheel beast that shoots three darts at a time, hence the three clips.

    1. just because it looks like it has 3 clips (which it probably has 4 clips) doesn't mean that it can fire 3 darts at a time, they would all need to be side by side and have 3 barrels not one.

  19. So not buying that. I can see how it could be fun for kids ages 8 and up, but to me it's rather... stupid.

    No me gusta.

  20. I think some fool just used a computer to make that image.

  21. I know this is drawn..but is this just concept art or are they really going to make this?

  22. I read that it was concept art, so this might not be the final product.

  24. i have no absoloute idea what this gun fires or what type of gun it is. im not sure if im buying this until i get more detalz

  25. It looks too bulky and imo, having to worry about three clips as opposed to one seems like it will be a pain when you finally have to reload this thing. However, Im def looking forward to the recon and raider look-alike in the elite series
