48hrs till Nerf makes things official...

Nerf posted this image on their Facebook captioned with "We’ve got big blaster news coming soon and we need this much space to reveal it! Who’s pumped?" and on Twitter with "We've got big blaster news coming next week. RT if you can't wait to hear it!" Months of speculation can now be made official? Or maybe a curve ball that takes us all by surprise? (well we can hope- I love new intel!)

Given the colour and font, I'm going with info on the Mega Centurion, but happy to hear your views.. We've conferring with trusted colleagues and tried screwing around with the image to try and make out what those markings are in the background- like an ink blob psych test.. what do you see here?

To be honest- I seem blobs. :P

  4. Kinda looks like a dart shooting out the end of a barrel (dart just above Nerf logo). But that's just me.

  5. well i think persinally that this is for that new zombie lne that those guys leaked on youko or whatever that sight is called, thsi looks a liitle lie a zombie styling, if it was blood splater then nerf usally wouldent use it but i think that since it looksa a lot like blood, then we have a new Zombiestrick line in the works!!

  6. Kinda looks like the splats make a weird silhouette of a dude in a baseball cap.

  9. It looks like a clown in a witch hat juggling my darkest fears while playing a kazoo & it's around 10ish

  10. Something tells me its either zombiestrike or mega. We might even be ambushed with a rapidstrike or new intel!! Cant wait for nerf to finally reveal all this mystery info coming up.

  11. Maybe this is just me but the light grey background looks like it has a hammershot behind "coming soon", yet I'd agree the image looks more in line with the Centurion

  12. fairly certain they used an image of an air cannon paint splatter.

  14. Y'all just got Rorshach tested.
That said, it's a bunch of Freemason wraiths invading a Chinese temple on Mars, aided and abetted by Corgis.

  15. The big blaster news is that Hasbro is quiting the dart blaster game & disbanding their NERF department. Time to get comfy with Buzzbee

  16. Don't expect Nerf to retain the initiative - this will be a confirmation, not a reveal.

  17. It probably doesn't mean anything, but the very bottom left corner looks like it was duplicated from the section directly above it. If you look closely you can see a slanted edge where the two layers overlap.

  18. If you zoom out very far, you can faintly see the handle, iron sights, and a hand. based off the shape I'm pretty sure it's the ZS Hammershot. Also the ink blob texture is similar, if not identical to the Z on the Hammershot's side.

  22. It's the Mega series intro, look at the pics of the Centurion packaging, this is the same red graphic used on the background of the Mega logo.

Btw, where did the 48 hr countdown come from? That wasn't stated on twitter or FB...

    1. Oh, they do...in the Wii game at least. Although I would like an updated Vulcan (elite colors, elite darts, firing range around 60 feet), I fear this dream will never come to fruition.

We have an update to the Stampede in the Rapidstrike (a spiritual successor at any rate), updates to the Nite-Finder and Maverick in the Firestrike and the Strongarm, an update to the Barricade that doesn't suck in the Stockade, updates to the Raider and the Recon in the Rampage and the Retaliator. We also have a new Alpha Trooper and a shotgun with real power in the Roughcut. We also have the Hail-fire which doesn't really fit in, kind of like the red-headed stepchild or Cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch. We have new paint schemes for the Jolt, the Reflex, and the Barrel Break - performance hasn't improved much although the Jolt does seem to fire a tad further than the original (by about 5-10 feet). Having an Elite Vulcan added to that mix would be "gilding the lily" so I don't see that happening.

  24. IT'S OFFICIAL!
The Centurion is coming out this fall :D
That's all it was, but at least now its official.

    The best part?

One of Nerf's own comments was:

When asked "So, Nerf, what can you tell me about other upcoming "Mega Series" models?"

They replied: " you'll have to wait and see. When more MEGA blasters are on the way, we'll be sure to let Nerf Nation know."

...When more MEGA blasters are on the way...

So this will be the first in a new line of Nerf Guns!!

Also: "It's the first blaster in the new MEGA series. It's 40.7 inches long and blasts up to 100ft. It uses the brand new MEGA dart, which is almost double the size of an Elite dart and it whistles as it flies through the air."

It is the first in the NEW MEGA SERIES...

So there WILL be more to come!!!

Plus now we have even more info that is official about the darts!!!

Just wanted to let you know :)

    1. Also, they say it will be $49.99 USD on Amazon, which seems reasonable.
