The X-ploderz X-ranger 1075. Love the token asian kid:) |
Xploderz are launching officially this month in the USA, Canada and UK. We've learnt that the line is "an innovative ammunition system tied to a unique line of projectile blasterz - creating an entirely new weapon system for play indoors or outside." with full marketing and publicity will begin in February as store distribution increases. A press release at Toy Shop UK says they are "Designed for kids from age 8 and upwards, they fire soft ammunition shells that are infused with water! Not only that, they fire them farther and faster than any other toy gun on the market." Apparently up to 85 feet out of the box? niiice..
Mmmm. blue caviar.. :P X-ploderz ammo |
Now..I'm still trying to work out what EXACTLY are these ammo balls made of; when we first got word of the X-ploderz I thought they would be similar to those water pearls you find in vases at weddings:
5 minutes later the bride unleashed the ballz |
UPDATE: Xploderz are distributed by Hobbeezone Toys. One of Hobbeezone's other products is "Orbeez" which.. yup, similar to the balls in vases at weddings. Sounds like THAT's the ammo?
XBlaster 75. Looks like a Radar gun:) |
Also on the Smyths site: "The XBlaster 75™ is the ultimate handheld air-powered weapon; ideal for close range combat and fires up to 50 feet! Includes Xploderz™ Ammo Clip and 75 ready-to-fire rounds. Pull back the Power Arm and release to fire! Hit your target as many times as you want and with as much force as you can; Count the hits!!!! More ammo, more distance, more power, Xploderz™ lets you outblast and outlast any opponent."
X-Stormer 575. Baffling:) |
Finally, the Smyths has the XRanger 1075 (the one at the beginning of the post) which would be my favourite:
"Complete your Xploderz™ arsenal and prepare for the ultimate in air-powered blasting with this awesome long-range blaster! Even your toughest opponent won't know what’s hit them when you unleash the power of this unstoppable blaster. Improve your accuracy and become a sharp shooter by using the view finder and foldable bipod for extra precision; Shoot at the enemy from up to 100 feet away! The detachable gun arm also makes for a quick getaway! Includes XRanger 1075™, 2 x Xploderz™ Ammo Depot with 500 Ready-to-fire rounds each and Xploderz™ Ammo Clip which holds 75 Xploderz™ ammo. Transfer your Xploderz™ ammo into your Xploderz Ammo Clip and slide onto your Blaster. Pull back the Power Arm and release to fire!"
Drop us a line peeps if you have any more intel on these babies, because we're very keen to know more!

X-ploderz, our balls get you wet!
ReplyDeleteif it shoots that far, wouldnt it be like, dangerous if u shot urself?
ReplyDeleteIt would still be less dangerous than Airsoft...
ReplyDeleteYou reeeeally need to get some of these. 500 rounds? Sign me up. It would be awesome if these were really like a water compound or something so they stuck together but when they hit you turn into an environmentally friendly splash of water. And then they would sell little machines that make more ammo when you pour water in. I can dream, can't I?
that is the stuipidest thing i have ever heard up to 85 feet........... sure!!!
ReplyDeletesome kid got blinded by a nerf gun that shots like 30ft. these shoot like 100ft. this is pretty dangerous=(
ReplyDeleteso it's like paintball? but you can do it at home.... imma gettin this
ReplyDeleteAny ideas if these are avilable in the US?
ReplyDeletePs: "You can do it at home". That's what she said
Apparently already available in some Targets in the US.
ReplyDelete"some kid..." bullshit
ReplyDeleteNobody has ever been "blinded" (for more than a few minutes, anwyay) by stock nerf ammo. It would be all over the news and they'd be off the shelves in a week.

It was in the news. In New Zealand. The article is here on this page. And in the US we've already had trouble with the news report on modded guns and kids attaching tacks to the darts...
ReplyDeleteThese things do intrigue me... But I'm sort of in agreement. I mean, if these things can really be lobbed this far it'd probably be a good idea to use them with paintball equipment. I'm sure those things would hurt up close.
I checked my local Target today (San Jose, Calif) and there was no sign of these.
ReplyDeleteHigh tech, yes, but basically SPIT-WADS. I don't expect these to stay on the market long.
(on the other hand ... with my track record for market predictions, I should probably invest in the company)

Ummm.... I have a feeling these things will have no triggers. Read their descriptions about the 'power arm'- it sounds like this is a triggerless pull and release blaster. Gotta say though- the soft ammunition would make a good seal... makes sense they are powerful. But no trigger?
ReplyDeleteI saw them at my Target here in California today; no triggers! You pull the primer back and release so it takes two hands. The springs are pretty heavy too, so after ten pulls...
ReplyDeleteI got the "XRanger 2000"
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't work. The balls break before leaving the barrel. The opening is 3 triangles that when hit by the ball pusher (a little piece of plastic that holds the bead) open up. However, mine haven't been opening up fast enough, so the beads "Xplode" before they have time to do anything.
Could be a faulty item, but I plan to mod it so it's all good.
Guess I'll give one of the pistols a try.
Saw some of these at a Target in San Ramon, CA.
ReplyDeleteThe X Blaster is probably around the size of a Speedload 6 (bigger than a Recon pistol)and runs for $13. The ammunition is quite small, about the size of salmon roe that's used in sushi or fishing. Refills on ammo are 4.99 for like 500 I think?
Broke within 20 minutes of use. 50 foot blaster 200 shoots about 5 feet. Great idea, poor execution. Do not buy this... You will be disappointed. I had the same problems as Bobololo
ReplyDeletei think this is awesome and i really want to get it what targets are they sold at
ReplyDeletei want one but i dont really know that they will work after what i heard probably another way for a company to get moneys probably a scam.
ReplyDeleteI want one and all but if it actually does break when i get it i will bring it right back to the store.
ReplyDeleteCopied off of AirSoft!!! You should be under federal errest!
ReplyDeleteUm.. UT just reports the stuff. Why should THEY be under federal arrest?
ReplyDeleteIsnt this the same as paintball pretty much but not the same ammo color
ReplyDeletelisten buy the gun, try it and if it sucks return it
ReplyDeleteto be honest i want one so if my brother shoots me with one it wont hurt, unlike airsoft would.woudnt anyone want to be shot with gell balls instead of paint balls or airsoft guns?so here is the point its a friendly paintball gun which would make wars hurt much less, that is paintball wars.
ReplyDeletebought one it sucks the clip wont load the ammo its too big to fit into the clip once its full size WHICH TAKES 4 HOURS TO MAKE WTF THATS REDICULOUS!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei might get one i dont know
ReplyDeleteIm deffinatly going to get one im obsessed wiith paintball but u have to go into the woods to play with this u can play right at your fricken house in your backyard trust me its awesome my friend has like 4 of them and we have wars in his backyard its beast
ReplyDeleteFirst kid: wanna kck some ass
ReplyDeleteSecond kid; this is the meaning of life
Third kid: what is this?
Do they sell goggles or masks
ReplyDeleteYou people need to learn how to freakin' spell!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW I HAVE TO GET ONE OF THOWS THINGS
ReplyDeleteCan you shoot the Xploderz Water Pellets with a airsoft gun and would they fit? Is it a bad idea?
ReplyDeleteCan you use the Xploderz ammo with your spring action or battery powered airsoft gun even after the water pellets are fully grown?? Would the ammo break the gun if you used it??
ReplyDeleteI want to get one
ReplyDeleteFinally found these...both versions shown above marked down from $60 to $20 at Ross Dress for Less...strangely enough. Brought home and. Both shoot amazingly far and leave no mess at all. Came with thousands of rounds of miniscule pellets that, upon contact with water, grew to be the size of a marble. Me being me, I offered to be shot with one from about 25 feet and it was barely noticeable. Love them but unsure where to purchase more "ammo".
