Bankcroft.de: Nerf Zombie Strike Sledgefire vid

Our German friends at Bankcroft.de have gotten their hands on some of the mad new gear- in this particular case they're reviewing the upcoming new Zombie Strike Sledgefire. I'm quite a fan of this blaster from an aesthetic point of view, but what's nice is Bankcroft really break it down on how it works.

From what the video shows, it 'breaks' in half like the Barrel Break, and is designed to be a "shotgun" so it fires three darts simultaneously (apparently you can't do one at a time but then if you wanted to do that, this wouldn't be the blaster of choice) via a dart holder but luckily it doesn't 'spit' the empty shells out after you've fired like a Buzzbee Doubleshot.

Another thing I find pretty interesting is another "nod" to aesthetic modders by providing cardboard stencils in the box. It seems like Nerf are actually promoting/urging fans to customise their own blasters with the Zombie Strike logo. Nifty!

Vid after the jump. Thanks Cornelius for the link!

  1. That was an excellent and thorough review, the SledgeFire is definitely on my radar now! I can see people removing the shoulder stock and using it like a Barrel Break .

I have a Double Shot, and I did really well reloading that as fast as possible. Hopefully my sleight of hand will carry on over to this blaster!

  2. You were pretty slow on this one, it was around for a few days before you wrote about it. I used to come here for all the new stuff first. What ever happened to that?

    1. Pocketgate happened to that. UT have stated they will no longer be getting new blasters anymore. hasbro are watching.

    2. I for one am glad there's less of the new blaster stuff, it's just the same old info being passed around from one blog to the next. I always come to UT for the rant pieces because they're at least different. I'd like to see one on Zombie Strike and have UT expand on something they touched on earlier about the first time Nerf have acknowledged 'kills' and shooting at a moving target.

    3. I think there are too many blogs anyway doing the same thing. I liked it when it was Nerf Mods + Reviews with Jerm, and SG Nerf and Urban Taggers. All had a different take on things, all different types of info. I still follow Urban Taggers mainly but its a shame Hasbro stabbed itself in the foot because it hasnt been the same ever since. No offence.

    4. Personaly I prefer Urbantaggers as my new blaster info source. From what I have read & experienced with my blaster purchases Pocket is extremely unbiased & will tell you wether or not a blaster is worth getting. His not having an inside hook up like some also ensures that he's not going to try to sell us on something that is just a worthless hunk of plastic. If your looking for integrity in info on blasters pocket is your guy.

  3. I for the most part like seeing new news spread around because different views will be talked about from different blogs, things not thought about or unseen will be found and a large group of people to read their comments about the news. however sometimes you get everyone saying the exact same thing and that can be boring.

    1. True, I don't care who gets the news first, I just want to know what each different blog thinks about the blaster and their different views. If everyone just says its excellent then we might as well just go to Nerf.com and not bother. The Rebelle post was great because it brought up things I had been saying for days since I saw it and was good to see other people think it too.

  5. Im not a fan of ammo holders- its just another thing you have to carry around and hold onto and potentially lose. Can you load it without them?

  6. What's with the tally marks on the side of the blaster?

    1. probably suppose to represent amount of zombies that you have killed, the whole tally mark death count kind of thing.

  7. Now that Hasbro's got this kind of shell developed, what are the chances that we'll see a Nerf MGL?

    1. O. I guarantee that Hasbro will never make an Nerf MGL.
