Random: Iron Man NRF 425- Errr.. but there's two.

Of all the movie tie ins with Nerf, the Iron Man franchise probably comes out with the most repaints. Have a look at the above pic for a second: we have an Iron Man painted Firefly AND Magstrike; only both are officially called the "NRF 425". It's even got the same kid on the front, just holding a different blaster.

Weird huh?

Dual wielding: seemed like a good idea at the time

Gun Kata. Or.. possible two sticks of fairy floss.
How cool is dual wielding? We're talking twin 6 guns in the wild wild west- two hand guns in any John Woo movie you can think of (including Appleseed!), and of course my all time fav, Sweet Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider games packing a pair of pistols will just does it for me every time. It's sort of the ultimate in any form of roleplaying (try it- hand a pair of toy pistols to any male and watch him go..) but while in movies this is always sooo cool.. in the world of Nerf this is not so easy. Nerf blasters require your other hand to cock the primer, so unless you've got them on a shoulder strap (in which case it's not REALLY dual wielding but using one after the other) or you're tying your trackie daks drawstring through your pair of Mavericks, you'd traditionally be out of luck. Till.. now:)

Review: Nerf N-Strike Magstrike AS-10

Nerf Magstrike AS-10. Like a Super Soaker. Without..the soak.
The Nerf N-Strike Magstrike (there's a mouthful!) AS-10 has been available worldwide for several years but as the Magstrike it has only really been available in Australia in the past 8-9 months. Prior to this it was released as an Iron Man N.R.F with the Iron Man inspired red and yellow colour schemes, and apparently before this it was even considered as part of the Dart Tag line, in blue and red guises. It's reminiscent of the old Super Soakers of the 90's, using pressurised air as its firing mechanism, but instead of shooting water, the Magstrike fires off 10 rounds of foam dart goodness in super fast succession.
