Preview: Stampede mix and match

Recon CS-6 with some Stampede goodness.
Sooo.. as always I decided to muck about with mixing and matching the Stampede attachments with other blasters to see how they look.. I quite like them on the Recon:)

Or without the shield.. Which still looks pretty tough IMO.

Not so pretty..
As much as I love the Alpha Trooper...it doesn't look great with the Stampede's tactical shield..

And something I think works pretty well, is adding a tactical light (actually the mission kit green light would be my light of choice other than it looks a lil boxy) to the side rails of the Stampede ECS. Sans tactical shield though, because then you'd be shining your light.. into the back of the shield:)

More to come:)

  1. Add an attatchment onto every rail of the Stampede... and say that you got bling pro:)

  2. Try the 18 clip in a Raider. Gives it a nice WWII feel.

  3. The bipod/grip is actually now sitting on the barrel of my Longstrike, so its now a lot easier to go prone for long periods of time if youre going be a sniper. I'm loving the 18 clips in my Alpha Trooper - makes it look seriously mean.

  4. or you could use the HUGE 35 DART DRUM THAT HOLDS THE MOST NERF AMMO EVER!!!

  5. Does the Stampede look better with the 18 dart straight clip or drum?
Also, a lot of people say that the shield works well on the Longstrike. Does it really?

  6. It makes sense. You can snipe people off from behind cover without fear of getting popped in the head by a guy with a longshot. My only worry is when a guy with a Stampede or an Alpha Trooper (or any mobile gun for that matter) finds you... and flanks you... and foams you. Badly.

  7. The shield DOES mean you can't really use a scope or pinpoint sight because.. well the shield covers it up some:) That being said, if you've got a good eye for that sorta thing anyway, you probably don't even need the scope:)

I PERSONALLY find the Stampede looks better with the flat clips rather than the drums, looks sleeker. But it's an opinion thing. Performance wise, it's more on how much care you take loading the darts in the clip/drum more than anything else.

  8. Malee- true- or a gf with a cushion. Foam darts are good and well, but a firm cushion to the head from someone who has said "I'm warning you if you shoot me again..." several times... it has definite presence..

  9. If that's the case, I think Greg may have a couple of new assignments.

  10. Pretty much why "Greg" was donated to me (used to wear a dress and a nice red winter coat before becoming "Greg" and wearing a tactical vest and mask instead;) But Greg doesn't yell and fight back.. he takes it like a..er.. dress mannequin.

  11. That's what people are like when they've been harassed with foam for long enough.

Though I sometimes wonder why he hasn't started laughing at you yet. Why would he laugh at you? Refer to your firing test video for the AT vs the Raider =P

I'm hoping I got that movie reference... HAHA fail =D

  13. "No! Do a dance!" =P

Great mix and matches with the Stampede parts with other Nerf guns and vice versa. I haven't found any pics on how the Stampede's ballistic shield would look on the Vulcan. Any chance we can see that, please? Thanks in advance.

  14. @Adam - the reason you havent seen the shield on the Vulcan is because the stupid thing doesnt fit. Sure, theres a tactical rail along the front end of the V, but the flared front end section above the barrel of the V means the shield wont sit on it. Very annoying actually as I was planning to use it that way. Am now removing whole front end of V and replacing with modded Recon barrel just so I can put the shield on. Stupid really!

  15. Hmm, you could put the sight on every side of the stampede. somebody - i think it was you- did the same to the vulcan. What i mean is putting them on all of the front tactical rails, meaning maximum light shine.

    but that's just my thought.
