Nerf Dart Tag Quick 16: internals

For all you modders out there, Ben 'Psyk' Koh has done everyone a favour and cracked his Nerf Dart Tag Quick 16 open and made some videos of the internals. Yup its a reverse plunger:)

Thanks to Ben again for the intel!

Review: Super Soaker Hydro Cannon

The much anticipated Hydro Cannon is the largest water blaster in the new 2011 (Nerf) Super Soaker line. It's big, it's tough and the most exciting part about this blaster is it does incorporate the awesome Constant Pressure System (CPS) tech found in the glory day blasters of the 90's.

Amazon.com finally came good and lo and behold, my Super Soaker Hydro Cannon arrived today. After doing my little victory dance, I cracked it open and can safely say.. its pretty damn cool...

Nerf iPhone case.

Well.. this was bound to happen sooner or later.Available from "Performance Designed Products" (PDP) These officially licenced Nerf iPhone covers are sorta like those DS armour cases.. but for iPhone:) I checked their website but the only one's listed are NBA branded ones like below:

Still kinda cool though. Around $15 US.

Super Soaker Shot Blast: updated colours

Shotblast with new 2011 repaint. Niiiice:) Pics courtesy of Nerf Mods + Reviews

Saw these on Nerf Mods + Reviews. First time I'd heard of, let alone seen these; new 2011 re-paint of the Super Soaker Shot Blasts. I quite like them; makes them all priddy and compatible with the new line. Looks like it also comes standard with the Shotblast scope that originally was a Toys R Us exclusive extra.

And the back of the box.

The box says they're a US Target exclusive. I dunno what happened with Super Soakers in Australia- we were kickin' butt with the Thunderstorm and Point Break before anywhere else in the world, and then.... nothing.

X-Ploderz Blasters: official commercial

Saw this on Nerf Mods and Reviews. The official X-Ploderz commercial. What's interesting about this ad is 1) they never REALLY show the firing mechansim of these blasters, 2) just like with Nerf the models are all in their later teens and 3) unlike Nerf there's a GIRL on the team!

Nice ad anyway:)

Hydro Cannon Modded to shoot darts

The Super Soaker Hydro Cannon is getting pretty good reviews around the blogs; it's confirmed it DOES utilise CPS tech but rather than a steady stream, the Hydro Cannon is basically like the Flashflood set to "Flood" mode constantly (and basically 'dumps' the water on your opponent!).

The buzz on what you can do with it mod wise is also pretty high, but Jerm from Nerf Mods + Reviews gets to it first and does what he does best.. makes it shoot foam darts. Really far:)

Quick 16 unboxing vid + Confirmation of the 'Sharp Shot"

Ben 'Psyk' Koh,one of our readers and the dude partly responsible for the very cool Barricade Clip Mod (with SG Nerf)  has managed to get his hands on a Quick 16 in box and has been awesome enough to post a video on it.

He's also confirmed in the video that from the back of the box, the new single shot pistol will be called the "Sharp Shot". Thanks Ben for the intel!
